تفسير الاستعاذة :

Interpretation of isti’adzah

المعنى :

It means

 أستجير بجانب الله

I seek refuge with Allah

 ، وأعتصم به من شر الشيطان العاتي المتمرد

I resort to Him from the evil of Satan who is arrogant and disobedient

 ، أن يضرني فى دينى أو دنياى ،

That he (Satan) wants to harm me of either my religion or my world

أو يصدنى عن فعل ما أمرت به ،

Or he (Satan) wants to foreclose me to perform what i was commanded by Him.

 وأحتمى بالخالق السميع العليم من همزه ولمزه ووساوسه

And I beware myself of his slander and his scruple, with Him as the God, the All Hearing, the All Knowing

 ، فإن الشيطان لا يكفه عن الإنسان ، إلا الله رب العالمين.

Indeed that satan can not fill needs of mankind, in contrast, Allah SWT-the God of all universe- is the only one who fills needs of mankind.

عن النبى (ص) أنه كان إذا قام من الليل ،

From Prophet Muhammad P.buh, that when he stood up in the night (tahajood)

 استفتح صلاته بالتكبير ،

He opened His Shalah with Takbir

ثم يقول : (أعوذ الله السميع العليم ، من الشيطان الرجيم ، من همزه ونفخه ونفثه. (أخره أصحاب السنن).

Then he recited, “I seek refuge with Allah, the All Hearing, the All Knowing, from the evil, slander, inflation, and spitting of satan.

لفظة " أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم " ليست آية قرآنية ، وإنما هو أدب أدبنا الله به ، عند إرادة قراءة القرآن بقوله سبحانه

[ فإذا قرأت القرآن فاستعذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم ] فلهذا لم تكتب فى القرآن الكريم بخلاف البسملة.

Word “أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم“ is not verse of the Quran, but it is courtesy that Allah taught us –when wanting to recite al-Quran. Allah SWT said [ فإذا قرأت القرآن فاستعذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم ]
